Fleetwood wins Newgate play & shade project
The Fleetwood team is excited to have won another fantastic piece of work in the bespoke outdoor play category, one of the core elements of our business where we continue to bring unique value to clients, partners, and communities in Melbourne, and nation-wide.
Central Equity is developing a new residential estate called Newgate in Melbourne’s west and has selected Fleetwood to create a series of interesting play structures.
Working closely with our landscape architects partners at SMEC, Fleetwood will deliver a two-storey custom play tower, a single storey custom play tower, a rest shelter, and three custom climbing elements: a log scrambler, pommel stepper, and rope scrambler. All of which will adhere to a distinct colour palette, part of the design theme across the entire estate.

With the engineering stage complete, the Newgate project’s design phase is nearing completion, fabrication is due to commence next month, with installation to be completed by the end of 2019.
