Victoria reaches new heights
Aerial project footage sends Fleetwood’s design insights soaring
Back in August we featured a stunning aerial showcase of some of our more recent bridge projects across NSW. It was a huge success with fantastic feedback coming from within our own team and also from many clients, so we recently decided to extend the concept further, this time flying our camera drone high above some of our ever-growing portfolio of Victorian projects.
As you can see below, from parks and playgrounds to bridges and boardwalks, the images are just fantastic. But by offering a completely different view of our completed structures, they can also provide invaluable insights for the design and delivery of our future projects in Melbourne, regional Victoria and beyond.
“It’s one thing to look at elevations in the office, or stand at ground level and survey a site,” says Fleetwood Design Lead, Mark Jol. “But to see things from the air like this really changes your perspective, literally and figuratively.”
As Mark explains, small details that may never have been obvious before become instantly apparent from the air. “The aerial footage reveals so much, both good and bad, and it challenges us to think differently about the way we design structures for our clients and how they sit within their surroundings.”

2020 has been a year like no other for all Australians. But it’s fair to say nowhere has been more impacted than Victoria, much of which continues to be under tight lockdowns.
